Jumping Fences

Jumping Fences is a documentary directed by Cydney Gray addressing graffiti and street art from a perspective somewhat different, showing that both sides of several artists who at first were devoted solely to street bombing and then expand into galleries create their own brands.

Some of those interviewed are: Blek Le Rat, Shepard Fairey and OBEY Michael De Feo, who tell us a little about your beginnings and how his technique evolved to be known today as icons of street art.

I found it very interesting how each artist presented, showing both sides of his life, this being his stage name and his real name, and how they could not live without the other, a highly recommended piece for a little inspiration street ;)

Vhils and JR in Los Angeles

Recently two other great figures of street art also made a great collaboration, this time it is being Vhils and JR from Los Angeles who took the opportunity to do something innovative in the streets.

By combining the specialties of each created and produced this stunning production, a picture so shocking as few have achieved, simply can not find words to describe the good work and it would be something like a sculpture papered "?, So better leave with photos of this piece to see what I mean :)

A new video of Shepard Fairey has made public a few days ago, during just over two minutes can see is that this great artist creates his famous murals.

Sure OBEY today no longer represents a single individual, Shepard Fairey, but is now almost as a collective work are becoming more elaborate and large scales, although even Shepard made his usual solo missions to continue bombing even more the streets with giant : P

"New form of Graffiti?

Today I find a project called: Proper Propaganda, which uses a "new" form of urban art.

It really is not so new but is a mixture of graffiti and the wallpaper or wheatpastes, to result in a different form of propaganda, the project consists of painting on paper pieces and then take to the streets to stick them with glue.

I think it's an alternative that can be used where it is difficult to lug around cans of paint, but did not see it as a new form of graffiti but a different technique of propaganda, it is not the same paint a piece on the wall to paint on paper and paste.

For those interested in this project will leave a video that explains how we work this technique and the link to the website itself.
